Terms of service
Last updated 31 August 2026. These terms are for the merchant who installs BeforeShip on a Shopify store.
The product
BeforeShip lets a shopper change shipping address or phone, or cancel, inside a merchant-set window (default two hours from paid) until packing starts. It generates a branded invoice PDF and a packing-slip PDF. Quantity edits, adding or removing lines, and variant swaps are not in this version.
Plans
Features are the same on every plan. Caps differ. Free: 100 paid online Shopify orders, lifetime. Starter: $15/month or $99/year, 1,000 paid online orders per calendar month (UTC). Unlimited: $79/month or $499/year, no cap. Hitting a cap pauses new edits and new PDFs. We do not auto-charge a higher plan. POS orders do not count. Billing runs through Shopify Billing.
Your store
You keep the merchant relationship with the shopper. You are responsible for your refund, shipping, and tax practices. We act on orders only inside the window and scopes you grant.
Support
Email only: support@beforeship.org. No phone, chat, or onboarding calls.
Acceptable use
Do not use the app to break Shopify’s terms, spam shoppers, or store data unrelated to pre-fulfillment edits and documents. We may suspend a store that does.
Availability
We aim for the edit window and PDFs to work on every paid online order. Shopify, your theme, and your fulfillment apps can still block an edit. The app is provided as-is aside from Shopify’s app-store rules that apply to us.
Liability
To the extent allowed by law, our liability for a store is capped at the fees that store paid us in the prior 12 months. We are not liable for lost orders, shipping to a wrong address after the window closed, or Shopify outages.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Shopify’s Partner and API terms also apply to the app.
